The final of the competition took place on 6 February 2021 and featured the remaining five entries that qualified from the semi-final and the pre-qualified entry: "Discoteque" performed by The Roop. The members of the jury consisted of Ramūnas Zilnys (music reviewer), Aistė Smilgevičiūtė (singer), Jievaras Jasinskis (composer and musician), Gerūta Griniūtė (cultural presenter and event host), Stanislavas Stavickis-Stano (singer-songwriter), Vytautas Bikus (composer) and Ieva Narkutė (singer).
The running order for the final was:
Titas & Benas - "No"
Martyna Jezepčikaitė - "Thank You Very Much"
Gebrasy - "Where'd You Wanna Go"
Voldemars Petersons - "Never Fall For You Again"
Evita Cololo - "Be paslapčių"
The Roop - "Discoteque"
This was the fourth show, listening to the same songs, can get a little tiring. So let' jump straight to what the Jury thought:
Martyna received their lowest score of 40 - allocating her 5 points
Titas & Benas received a score of 44 - and 6 points
Evita got a score of 47 - hence 7 points
Voldemars had a score of 51 - and 8 points
Gebrasy received 70 as a score - and 10 points
The Roop - took out the jury vote with a score of 84 - and 12 points!
The televote - now this is interesting:
Receiving 427 votes, and 5 points - Evita
With 1,094 votes, and 6 points - Titas & Benas
Getting 1,224 votes, or 7 points - Voldemars Petersons
Receiving 2,453 televotes - 8 points - Martyna
In second place with 6,413 televotes was Gebrasy - securing 10 points
The Roop, however, received a massive 74,512 votes - and another 12 points.
Meaning, at the end of the day, The Roop won by a landslide. This long winded process could have been avoided if Lithuania just picked them...
While this is a good vehicle for artists to peddle their wares - the SAME wares can get... tired.
Bonne chance pour The Roop!
