Still celebrated in the UK for winning 1981 Eurovision, Bucks Fizz achieved a string of hits before running out of steam around 1984. This song marked their big comeback, and in my opinion is the band’s finest and most underrated offering. It is a summer dance anthem and so much more. It features a driving drum pulse, innovative and exciting lyrical techniques and a singalong chorus. The feel is internationalist, optimistic and energetic and has a vibe that still sounds cool and contemporary. Surviving performances showcase the band’s versatility and showmanship.
