2022 NATIONAL SELECTIONS - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Reviews are to be sent in by email no more than 2 weeks after the selection show/announcement to be eligible for points*.

*(with the exception of Bulgaria and Czechia, 2ho announced their entries very early and prior to allocation. 2 weeks from December 27th)

The expressions of interest to report on the National Selections for 2022 Eurovision are open now!

What are these reports about??? Well…

Our members report on the selection process for each participating country for the rest of the membership. Whether that is a longer festival type of selection, such as Sweden’s Melodifestivalen, or an internally chosen entrant.

The ‘reports’ will form a blog here on the website to keep members up to date with national and direct selections. If you'd like to see the ones written for Rotterdam and get a feel for the kind of information people included last year, you can check them out here.

We will be looking for reports that are between 200 and no more than 500 words each. Each report submitted is worth 20 points for #ESC2023PointsNatSel. In previous years, we offered additional points to write additional reports, up to 20 points extra. This year, we will see what the level of interest is, and while we will likely need to break up some of the multi-episode for multiple people to work together on the reports, we will not be offering additional points for additional reports. That is, if members would like to fill out the spots vacant across the shows at the end of the expression of interest, that would be fabulous! However no additional points will be earned for doing so.

Where there are multiple people allocated to a country you will need to coordinate with others in your group to agree who will do which show. That is, you must organise to do a separate show each, with the other members allocated to the same selection. This is so we do not receive multiple reports for the same show. If you need assistance contacting others in your group please email contact@ogaerotw.com and we will help as much as possible.

Please indicate your preferences below for the country’s selection you would like to review. We will allocate these solely on a “first-in” basis. That is, the first person to express interest in reporting on a country’s selection will be allocated that country.

PLEASE NOTE: there is absolutely NO guarantee that you will be successful in your preferences. There is a check-box below to select whether you are happy to be randomly allocated a country or not if your preferences are not available. If not, you will not be considered for the points opportunity.

Expressions of interest closed Midday cet friday december 26th

As at December 26, the following countries have not had any love: Israel, North Macedonia and Russia.

The current allocation is outlined via this link - you can check your allocation here.

For those who are yet to express their interest, the spots with the red question mark (?) are free to nominate for. Where there is already a name against the Country, the spot has been taken. Any Country highlighted in dark Grey and with white writing has been completely filled. If you have been assigned a country with other members, you and your group will need to coordinate who is covering which show so that multiple reviews of one show are not received.

If you have already been allocated a country, and wish to undertake additional reports, you may nominate to do so. These will only be allocated after the closing date, and all members have been assigned their first country.

Please note: No additional points will be awarded for undertaking extra reviews.
