Spain - Final - Angel Aguilar

Benidorm fest 2023 final Review

On this day February 4th 2023 the grand finale of Benidorm fest has taken place, and Spain has selected their representative for Eurovision.

The night started with a lot of convinced fans that either Agonay or Blanca Paloma will win tonight as they won each of their semifinals respectively, although my favorite is and will be Vicco, haha.

The famous Spanish superstar and still a very mucho mamacita, Monica Naranjo hosted the show along Rodrigo Vazques.

The first contestant of the night was Karmento with her song quiero y duelo which it had a feeling of flamenco but with more gypsy notes, it was forgettable, ending points 80.

The second contestant was Megara with their upbeat hard rock anthem Arcadia, great staging, good feeling rock song, me liky, ending points 106.

Third act was by the lovely Alice Wonderland which with her Piano theme Ballad Yo quisiera, did a good job but as I am writing this, I forgot already how that song went, oops, lol, ending points 89.

Fourth Act was by a cute girl going by the artistic name of fucsanota, ok, her song  was mi Familia, which obviously talked about her family and their car, which it was also in the stage, cute song with hints of flamenco and a goth pop feeling, ending points 71

Fifth act was Agoney, a favorite, with good staging performance in his song quiero arder, a very good beat with a depeche mode feeling and hints of gothic and dance songs, this was pretty cool, ending points 145.

Sixth act was another favorite Blanca Paloma with her song Eaea that goes full flamenco upbeat and great vocals but not my cup of tea, ending points 169.

Seventh act was Jose Otero with his dance song inviernos en marte, which I like a bit, ending points 75.

Eight act was Vicco ( my favorite) with her 80s retro feeling modern dance song nochentera, which I can dance all night long, so cool and catchy. Ending points 129.

Good luck to Spain and Channel, oops, I mean Blanca Paloma in Eurovision 2023!!!

Hasta la vista Baby!
